QSFer Terry Gene has a new queer sci fi book out: Causality Rebound.
From Terry Gene, who’s first novel Kirkus Books reported “This Sci-Fi tale remains emotionally true.”
If you are the cause; can you be the cure?
Sarah Beth has hated life since that day ten years ago when her male and female sides remerged to form her. She suffers from survivor’s guilt over the quantum energy experiment that forced her two parts to cease to exist. While her male side resolved her PTSD and abusive childhood training, her female side never addressed trauma from childhood experiments.
Sarah Beth has taken refuge in her male side and eschewing everything feminine. Complicating this is her need to protect Alex her male-side’s accidental child, a forgotten millennia-old alien invasion, and threats to harvest her energy. She conducts dangerous quantum free-energy experiments to bring back Alex and Sarah. Only with her death will she find meaning in her life.
This second novel of the Causality is Optional novel cycle continues the unraveling the impossibility that is Sarah Beth.
I’m that engineer, now retired from over thirty years of working in nuclear power plants, on anti-aircraft missiles, and third, fourth and fifth generation wireless communications systems, and various esoteric sensor networks. Obviously, after all that, one should retire to Texas to farm and ranch. It was the biggest fail of my life. I still have the fifty acres but now I’m a certified Texas Master Naturalist busy restoring the native Tall-Grass prairie.
Before and since my retirement, I’ve helped build houses for Habitat for Humanity, worked directly with veterans at the VA, served as a Big Brother, mentored elementary students, ensuring that every day was a success, literacy/GED volunteer, filled shopping carts for the clients of the local food bank, and ran meals to clients for Meals on Wheels.
The richness of interacting with diverse people, especially the most important diversity, that of thought, lead me to put ideas down on paper and ultimately to my four-novel and short story*Causality is Optional* arc:
* Causality Bomb,
* Causality ReBound,
* Causality AI, and
* Causality War.
I hope you enjoy Sarah, Alex, Sarah Beth, Katie, and Quentin as much as I have.
