Excerpt

Noiz took the ComiCon exhibitor’s packet out of the envelope and looked at it. The packet had his name on it.
Then suddenly he heard it. He looked up at the TV. “Special guest, Shiro Ijima, author of the bestselling cyberpunk Fissure series will be in attendance…” said the commercial.
Noiz’ eyes got wide. He got up and went to the shelf by the back wall leading to his studio and looked at all the many books and manga he used as reference for his art. He ran his hand over the volumes until he found Fissure book 1. He pulled it off the shelf.
“I love this series. Maybe I can get Shiro Ijima to sign my copy. That would be awesome. Noiz brought the book and sat down on the couch. He turned the book over and read the author bio on the back. It said that Shiro had been a writer for manga at one time and graduated to writing books when his first novel hit it big. The cover of Fissure looked like a manga illustration. Noiz wondered who drew the cover image. He went on to read that Shiro was looking to collaborate with an artist on the manga version of Fissure.
This got Noiz excited. He looked at Shiro’s picture on the back of the book and thought he was handsome with his blonde dyed hair and deep brown eyes. “He is so out of my league. I don’t even know if he is gay. I thought he only dated girls.” Noiz became discouraged. He threw the book on the couch, got up and went to the kitchen. Two more days to the comic convention. He couldn’t wait.
