DC Comics: A Cinematic Retrospective

Superman

From SF Signal: As pointed out by The Awesomer, calling the following video a retrospective of DC Comics’ superhero films is a bit of a misnomer when two of the films — Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad — have yet to be released, but the video does succeed in encapsulating what a poor job Hollywood did with DC Comics properties. I mean, I liked Watchmen and The Dark Knight is probably in my list of Top 10 Films, but the rest? I wouldn’t mind if I never, ever saw any Green Lantern footage again. And, being a Moviegoer of … Read more

For Writers: Juvenilia

Juvenilia

Today’s writer topic comes from QSFer Jim Comer: Juvenilia. It’s a word I wasn’t familiar with until Jim brought it up to me recently. But as Google tells me, it’s “works produced by an author or artist while still young.” *laughs* I wrote some real crap back then. So my questions to you today: When did you start writing? Do you ever look back at your early stuff? And what was the worst thing you wrote at that age, or the best? Join the chat
