“Doctor Who” is going stateside this Christmas. The BBC released an action-packed trailer for the sci-fi series’ holiday episode on Friday, titled “The Return of Doctor Mysterio.” The teaser lasts only 30 seconds, but it does appear to show Peter Capaldi’s titular character teaming up with an investigative reporter and a figure known as “The Ghost” to save Manhattan from brain-swapping aliens. Pinging a simple plastic coffee stirrer on the edge of a table, Deita Meira achieved a rousing rendition of Darth Vader’s “Imperial March” theme. In the first trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming, the web-slinging superhero makes his first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The clip also gives a first look at the movie’s winged villain, Vulture, played by Michael Keaton. Homecoming brings Peter Parker back to high school. We can’t leaf this tree alone! A historic tree featured in the fifth “Harry Potter” film, “Harry Potter and the Order of The Phoenix,” is in danger of toppling over. The aged cedar of Lebanon tree, located in the grounds of Blenheim Palace, is 55 feet tall and has a massive hole in the trunk. The hole makes it so that the tree could tip over at any moment. University of Toronto researchers tasked an A.I. with looking at a picture of a Christmas tree, writing a song about it, and then singing the results for the world to hear.
