Today’s reader topic comes from QSFer Angel Martinez:
“How many vamps does it take to screw in a light bulb – or what non-serious paranormal moments have you enjoyed?”
Since this is a reader chat, we won’t mention the many humorous paranormal exploits of a well known author friend of ours. *wing*

Personally, I like a little humor in all the books I read. Saying that, Angel Martinez is a master at humor. I’ve had the pleasure of reading Lisa Oliver’s Cloverleah Pack Series and Alpha and Omega Series, which are both fantastic. Another author who is amazingly humorous is Hannah Walker. Her Avanti Series is incredible. There are so many talented authors I have had the distinct pleasure of reading, that if I listed every one of them on here, there wouldn’t be enough space left for anyone else… ;)
As I said on the site, I love Jeffrey MacMahan’s Andrew Lyall’s books. I’d have to agree about Tony Blair in Tanya Huff’s books; ‘Smoke and Shadows’, ‘Smoke and Mirrors’, and ‘Smoke and Ashes’, too. Lestat can be very funny in some of Anne Rice’s ‘Vampire Chronicles’. Also, ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’, ‘Supernatural’, and ‘Doctor Who’ have been doing an excellent job of blending humor with drama.
For me the first sci-fi stories I read that had awesome humor were online by Twisted Hilarity. I still love her stuff (http://www.twistedhilarity.com/new.html or at yaoifix.com)
But I can’t wait to try some of the authors recommended here! And Yes! for Buffy and Doctor Who! :D
