Mpreg is popular with some people. It is something I enjoy reading. Have you read any and if so how realistic does it have to be for you ? Do you have to have the man deliver and have the gory details or do you just want to see the progression and how a man deals with pregnancy?

I enjoy Mpreg as long as the birth is somehow logical. I love to read about how the guy copes with his pregnancy especially if he didn’t know that he could become pregnant. I have read some creative ways for guys to give birth but also some disappointing ways which are just too far fetched. I especially like it when a story continues after the birth and we see how the guys cope with their new family. I don’t mind different types of shifters getting together but a half wolf half bear baby doesn’t make sense.
I have read several by different authors and am still deciding on whether or not it is something I want to continue to read. I have to keep telling myself ‘this is fiction….’
I don’t know why I have a harder time with this genre than with wolf shifters, for example.
I read any and nearly all Mpreg, none shifter and shifter tropes. I’m happy with graphic detail, vague suggestion, or miracle delivery, its the build up and potential that I like.
I stumbled across Mpreg accidentally and I love the trope/genre a lot. I search out books that use this theme and although once or twice I’ve come across a story I didn’t like, I’ve come to enjoy them tremendously. It doesn’t matter to me if they are shifter or non-shifter stories. This is the one genre I will read even if theI story is a series that bleeds from one book to the next and all are needed to finish the story arc. Rosa Swann’s series with Wilder and Sterling comes to mind. The series is Second Chance Mates and is is 8 books. The first is named “My Alpha’s Secret”. I love the intricacies of this series.
