New Release: They Kill – Matt Converse

They Kill

QSFer Matt Converse has a new queer horror collection out: They Kill.

Four tales of terror.

Haunting dolls live upstairs in The Doll Lady. A psychotic serial killer is obsessed with Lady Gaga and lets the world know with each murder. A Stranger’s Rope is a modern-day nod to Hitchcock’s Rope and Strangers on a Train. Insected is a sci-fi thriller with deadly insects from another world.

These scary stories will chill you to the bone.

Excerpt

As I’m about to come into my apartment building, I look up and I notice there are now four dolls in Marjorie’s windows. They are all the same type of large antique dolls with porcelain faces, one more creepy than the next.

I’d normally be surprised to find out a sixty-five-year-old woman just started to collect dolls, but not Marjorie. These spooky dolls looking out her windows fits what I already thought of her. She’s pleasant to say hello to in passing, but ever since I met her, I’ve felt there’s something bizarre about her. She seems not quite right in an eerie, almost haunting way.

Now when I mention her to anyone, I call her The Doll Lady.
