#OWNVOICES: Lesbian Authors

Ownvoices - lesbian

On Saturdays on the QSF Facebook group we’re now featuring #ownvoices. Each week, we’ll feature a different group of writers who don’t always get the attention they should.

Today, we’re featuring authors who are lesbian and who write lesbian characters in speculative fiction. #ownvoices

If you’re a lesbian author, tell us about yourself, your experiences author, and the spec fic books you write (especially those with lesbian characters – with links, please).

If you’re not, you can still participate – share your favorite lesbian authors and their spec fic works that include lesbian characters.

Note: This is NOT a chat to list any work that includes a character who is lesbian. All linked titles should be written by lesbian authors.

Please treat each other with respect in this chat. If you see a post which doesn’t seem to fit the spirit of this #ownvoice chat, please let me or Angel Martinez or Ben Brock or Ryane Chatman know so we can contact them and gently let them know. :)

  1. I’m a lesbian authors who writes exciting tales of strong female characters who love strong female characters! I’m probably older than most of you and grew up during a time when I could only realize my dreams through characters on the page. Then 21 years ago I met a fabulous, smart, exciting woman who accepted my invitation to live with me and we’ve been together ever since.

Much of my early works include mostly heterosexual characters and romances, but now I am focusing my efforts on characters who reflect who I am. My most recent publication is sure to please anyone drawn to strong female characters: “Heart of Sherwood” is about to be re-released in its second edition with a new lower price, so look for it on Amazon!
