Elsa Finally Comes Out – On SNL
This weekend’s Saturday Night Live (SNL) parodied the Disney animated sequel Frozen 2 by showing “deleted scenes” featuring a lesbian Elsa. The parody seemingly acknowledges the 2016 social media campaign asking Disney to #GiveElsaAGirlfriend in light of her remaining unpartnered by the first film’s end. In the parody, Queen Elsa is played by lesbian comic Kate McKinnon, and Elsa doesn’t seem entirely pleased that she’s remained curiously single in the film’s first two installments.
