Paramount is suing the makers of a crowd-funded Star Trek fan film on multiple copyright grounds. But what’s got the Trekkie world buzzing is Paramount’s claim on the Klingon language, which the defendants say cannot be copyrighted because no language can be. In a grand exhibition of geekery, the Chinese gaming company NetDragon Websoft has licensed and built an office building shaped like the U.S.S. Enterprise from Star Trek. It’s a little difficult to see it from the ground, but in the following drone-shot video, you can really see how cool looking this thing is. A new “Star Trek” TV series will launch on CBS in 2017, the network announced Monday. Alex Kurtzman will serve as executive producer for the new “Star Trek” TV series. Kurtzman co-wrote and produced the blockbuster films “Star Trek” (2009) with Roberto Orci, and “Star Trek Into Darkness” (2013) with Orci and Damon Lindelof.
