For Writers: Overcoming Writer’s Block

writer's block

Today’s writer topic comes from QSFer Elizabeth Noble:

I’m sorry to say that I somehow didn’t get Elizabeth’s full question – so I’ll run with this.

We all have periods when we can’t seem to make the writing flow. I don’t like to call it writer’s block – instead, I call it writer’s wait – as it usually means there’s some reason I’m not ready to write that particular thing just yet.

My solution is to have two or three things going so I can switch gears when needed. But sometimes you don’t have that luxury especially if you are on a deadline.

So what do you do to get past writer’s block, or writer’s wait?
