Instead, I heard myself say, “Are you okay with all this? Comfortable?”
I almost winced. Stupid. He wouldn’t have asked me back here if he wasn’t, would he? But something inside me made me ask. To be sure. I had to be sure. Because maybe I wasn’t sure myself. Maybe I knew too much, knew that I’d be leaving in the morning. That Corvaiz would erase the number from my phone, making me have no choice but to forget because there would be no way of contacting Calen again.
He nodded. “Are you? Comfortable, I mean?”
Wow. That was a first. People didn’t ever ask about my comfort.
I felt like a little kid with lots of firsts all of a sudden.
“Yes. I’m comfortable,” I replied.
I raised my hand from the flower and placed it palm down on the center of Calen’s chest. His breaths went in and out, encompassing the weight, the slight pressure.
With my hand between us, as if to keep one last boundary in place, I leaned forward.
Calen tilted his head up. Our lips brushed like a test, soft and tentative, the way you search forward in complete darkness for your next step so you don’t trip.

I have been writing since the age of twelve, everything from short stories and poetry to fanfiction.
In the last decade, my love for mm romance has taken the form of novels. I have several dozen of these in many subgenres including contemporary, fantasy, sci fi, vampire.
But my current obsession is omegaverse, both shifter and non. I love the alien, rather science fiction-y idea of alphas and omegas, mpreg, and the balance/imbalance of power between them in all different settings. In my books, I always give a happy ever after.
I have three omegaverse series: The Omega Misfits, Captive Alphas and my newest and first shifter series: Moonrise Academy.
I live in the high desert of southern California, Yucca Valley, with two sweet dogs and five (all strays) cats. I am a voracious reader and love to collect rings. I also love designing book covers.
