TV: Xena Lesbian Reboot Scrapped
NBC has canceled plans for a “Xena: Warrior Princess” revival. Javier Grillo-Marxuach was on board as the showrunner and had said Xena would be openly gay in the reboot. The series would also have a focus on her lesbian relationship with her friend, Gabrielle. Grillo-Marxuach, known for his work on “The 100,” left the show due to creative differences in April.
