Disney-Pixar’s upcoming film Lightyear has been banned in 14 different countries following the re-inclusion of a same-sex kiss. The spin-off of the critically acclaimed Toy Story movie franchise will not make it to cinemas in several countries including Saudi Arabia, The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Lebanon. According to Variety, the origin story of Toy Story‘s Buzz Lightyear features Pixar’s first onscreen lesbian kiss, which was reportedly cut from the film. As US lawmakers try to deny they even exist, trans teens might soon be looking up at a cinema or laptop screen and see a Pixar character just like them.
