Power Rangers Stan Lady Gaga

Power Rangers Stan Lady Gaga

In a news story that can only be described as peak 2020, the Power Rangers have come out as a serious Lady Gaga stan account. The Power Rangers tweeted their undying devotion to Gaga on Wednesday. Tasked with protecting the Earth from intergalactic doom, the mighty morphing bunch are also out to protect the world from both devastation and from letting “Stupid Love” – Gaga’s first solo single in four years – flop. Responding to one of the teasers Gaga tweeted about the then-impending music video drop, the Power Rangers account hit back: “Not sure if we should fight this … Read more

FOR WRITERS: Does ANYONE Click Twitter Links?

FOR WRITERS Today’s writer topic comes from QSFer J. Scott Coatsworth: I’ve just checked four of our website trackers, including QSF and my own site. While Facebook is consistently the top non-search engine site sending traffic our way, often with thousands of visitors, Twitter barely registers. On two sites, December had zero visits from twitter to the website. On the other, 2 and 18, respectively. So what do you think? Does anyone actually click on Twitter links? Is it a worthwhile vehicle for driving traffic? If so, what kind of tweets attract the most attention? And a corollary – if … Read more

Social Media for Writers

Social Media

FOR WRITERS Angel is taking a break from her Bits this week. Yeah, I knew that sounded wrong as soon as I typed it. :P Anyhow, today’s writer topic comes from QSFer Ben Brock: “Which social media platforms are best for which things?” I’ll elaborate a bit. As writers, we need to reach out to current and potential readers to energize and grow our fan base. Are some social media platforms better for reaching different parts of the LGBTIQA rainbow? Are some better for promo? What about bang for the buck? Are some best for advertising, while others may be … Read more
