Filmmaker James Gunn has revealed that he was blocked from depicting Velma as a lesbian in the 2002 live-action Scooby-Doo film. The film’s writer and director spilled the tea about behind-the-scenes wrangling over the camp classic, which starred Linda Cardellini as Velma Dinkley.
